I got the chance to visit Italy February this year. I must say, Italy is one of the best countries I’ve seen. It is everything I’ve expected it to be — breathtaking and amazing (especially Venice and Rome — I’d talk more about it later).
First stop- Milan.
Milan is the global capital of fashion and design. If you are up to a shop-until-you-drop challenge, Milan is definitely the place to be. Of course, Milan has Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and everything else. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest shopping mall, is my personal favourite. It has an impressive architecture – very elegant and classy. Not to mention that most part of the structure is covered with glass and iron. But no matter how enticing it was to shop, I just did some window-shopping because I made a promise not to purchase any designer items this time. I just entertained myself by taking some good pictures of the mall. Here’s some of my pictures inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
Aside from window shopping, I also got the chance to visit Milan Cathedral. Also known as Duomo di Milano, the cathedral is the fifth largest Christian Church in the world — uh oh — but do note it’s construction is still not finished up to this day. As much as I wanted to go inside, the lines were super crazy. I wanted to visit the cathedral’s terrace but yeah, maybe next time. So I just took beautiful pictures outside. Here are my favourite shots.
I had my first gelato or simply “Italian Ice Cream” also in Milan. It’s delicious. It was pretty cold outside but I just had to try it — for experience haha!
Here’s more picture of my Milan adventure (which is basically window shopping, sight seeing and picture taking) Enjoy! ❤
